In this video, you will learn about custom treatment plans. A treatment plan is what you put together with your therapist. It is how they get you from point A to point B. The therapist will ask you “what brings you in?” They want to know what your main goal is, and how to fix one main thing. The treatment plan will consist of the main goal first, and then they will work backward from there. The treatment plan might be devised during the session, or it will happen after-hours. Once they get your main goal, then they make diagnoses. There may be a lot of information coming in from other therapists, or it might be starting from a baseline. All sorts of things may be asked to you by the therapist, and these are all needed for the treatment plan to be made. The therapist may even give you some homework, to see how certain things work in between sessions. The process of trial and error with different plans may take a while. The issue didn’t happen overnight, so it is important to keep in mind that the issue can’t be fixed overnight.
